Ian Roberts is Professor of Cellular Pathology at the University of Oxford, UK, and Clinical lead of Renal Pathology services for Oxford University Hospitals. He is currently President of the British Division of the International Academy of Pathology; previously Specialty Advisor in Renal Pathology for the Royal College of Pathologists, Chair of the ISN Pathology Working Group and European Society of Pathology Nephropathology Working Group, and Past-President of the Renal Pathology Society. His main research interests are in the pathology of glomerulonephritis. He is a lead author of the Oxford Classification of IgA nephropathy, review pathologist for VALIGA and follow-up studies, and pathologist for a number of clinical trials in IgA nephropathy.
