Ana Carina Ferreira is a Portuguese nephrologist and assistant professor, who works in Lisbon, at the Nephrology Department of Hospital Curry Cabral (currently in the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit, in external consultation, and in the Bone Histomorphometry Lab) and in Nova Medical School.
Dr. Ferreira obtained her medical degree in 2003, was certified as a Specialist in Nephrology in 2012, and was certified with the European Certificate in Nephrology in 2017. In 2014 and 2015 she received advanced training in research and healthcare methods with Harvard Medical School, and completed her doctorate in Medicine in 2022.
She is a member of national and international medical societies and is a founding member of the ERA Young Nephrologists’ Platform, having been its president between 2015 to 2017. Currently, she Is the treasurer of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology and an Ordinary Council Member of ERA.
