Fujii, Hideki

Dr. Fujii is an Associate Professor in the Division of Nephrology at Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine (since 2022). He earned his medical degree from Kobe University (1992-1998), specialized in Nephrology and Cardiology at the National Cardiovascular Center (2001-2004), and completed his graduate studies at Kobe University (2004–2008).
Dr. Fujii has authored over 100 research papers on topics including the cardiorenal association, CKD-MBD, and Fabry disease. He received the Clinical Scientist Award from the Japanese Society of Nephrology (JSN) in 2018 and the Best Abstract Award by Young Investigators from the European Renal Association (ERA) in 2007 and 2008. He is a board-certified member of multiple Japanese medical societies, including the JSN, the Japanese Circulation Society, and the Japanese Society of Dialysis Therapy. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), the International Society of Nephrology (FISN), and a member of the ERA.
