The department is characterized by the fact that it brings together doctors from a wide range of specialties (nephrology, neurology, diabetes, metabolism and endocrinology, rheumatology and collagen medicine, hematology and oncology), enabling a comprehensive internal medicine approach to examine and treat the whole body, while maintaining a high degree of specialization. The team practices cross-disciplinary team medicine in cooperation with other departments to deal with cases with a wide range of complications, without being confined to subdivided specialized areas.
