Kento Kitada is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Kagawa University, Japan. His research focuses on the systemic water conservation system for body osmole and water homeostasis. His research team found that the systemic water conservation system is key to understanding the pathogenesis of hypertension and muscle wasting. In 2016, he was awarded the Young Investigator Award from the Japanese Society of Nephrology, and in 2023, the Academic Encouragement Award from the Japanese Pharmacological Society.
