Kojiro Nagai is Director of the Department of Nephrology at Shizuoka General Hospital.
He received the M.D. degree from Kyoto University in 1995.He completed his medical training at Kyoto University Hospital, Amagasaki Medical Center, and Shizuoka General Hospital and received a Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University in 2004. After travelling to the United States to work as a research fellow in the Department of Nephrology at Vanderbilt University in 2005, he returned to Tokushima University in 2008.He worked as a clinical scientist and became the Chair of the Department of Nephrology at Tokushima University Hospital in 2018. He resigned from Tokushima University Hospital and moved to Shizuoka General Hospital in 2021.
