Dr. Nobuo Tsuboi is an Associate Professor of Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the Jikei University School of Medicine. Dr. Tsuboi graduated from the Jikei University School of Medicine in 1994 with an M.D. degree, and then completed graduate studies at the the Jikei University Graduate School of Medicine and received his Ph.D. degree. Dr. Tsuboi worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the Division of Nephrology, Vanderbilt University, U.S.A., where he conducted basic research on the mechanisms of vascular endothelial injury in glomerular diseases. Dr. Tsuboi’s current research interests include the pathophysiology of progressive renal disease and hypertension, and clinicopathologic correlations including renal morphologic assessment such as nephrons and podocytes. Dr. Tsuboi is a full member of Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, Japanese Society of Nephrology, Japanese Society of Hypertension (FJSH), International Society of Nephrology, and American Society of Nephrology (FASN).
