Kishi, Seiji

Dr. Seiji Kishi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension at Kawasaki Medical School. After graduating from Tokushima University School of Medicine in 2000 and receiving his Ph.D. in Nephrology in 2011, he expanded his research as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from 2012 to 2015. Dr. Kishi is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. In recognition of his work, Dr. Kishi received the Best Abstract Award at the Asia Pacific Congress of Nephrology in 2020.
Dr. Kishi's research focuses on critical areas of nephrology, including the molecular mechanisms underlying the transition from AKI to CKD and the complex relationship between the DNA damage response and kidney fibrosis. He also analyzes real-world databases of kidney disease in Japan, bridging the gap betweenlaboratory findings and clinical practice.
