Ueda, Seiji

Dr.Ueda obtained his medical degree from Kurume University School of Medicine, Fukuoka, Japan in 1995. From 1995 to 2001 he took up a research associate position in the Department of Internal Medicine III, Kurume University School of Medicine. He subsequently became associate professor of Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine, Kurume University. In 2016, he moved to Juntendo University as associate professor of Division of Nephrology. He next moved to Shimane University and became professor of Division of Kidney Health and Aging, the Center for Integrated Kidney Research and Advance. His main research interest has been in pathophysiogy of kidney diseases, with particular focus on endothelial dysfunction, hypertensive renal injuries, and the development of cardiovascular disease in patients with CKD.
