Shinya Nakatani is Lecture of the Department of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Molecular Medicine, Osaka Metropolitan University Graduate School of Medicine.
He completed his medical training at Osaka City University Graduate School of Medicine.
He is a Board Certified Nephrologist of the Japanese Society of Nephrology.
He is also a Board Certified Member of the Japanese Society of Dialysis Therapy, and Japanese PKD Association.
His research focuses on the ADPKD trace element (zinc) and calcification (T50).
He is involved in the development of the evidence-based Clinical Practice Guideline for Polycystic Kidney Disease and contributes to cohort study on PKD in Japan.
