Kuwabara, Takashige

Takashige Kuwabara is an associate professor of the Department of Nephrology, Kumamoto University Graduate School of Medical Sciences. His work focuses on the role of chronic inflammation in the pathophysiology of life-related kidney diseases including diabetic kidney disease. Besides, he has been employed as a member of the Onconephrology working group and a revising committee member of the clinical practice guideline for the management of kidney injury during anti-cancer drug therapy 2022 of the JSN. He is also working in onconephrology in the clinical field.
He completed the clinical resident course in Kobe General Hospital from 1999 to 2001 after graduating from MD in Mie University. After a short-term of clinical fellowship in Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, he completed the PhD course in Kyoto University in 2009.
