Takeshi Matsubara is Chief director of the Department of Nephrology and Dialysis within the Postgraduate Clinical Education Center of the Medical Research Institute, KITANO HOSPITAL, PIIF Tazuke-Kofukai.
He completed his medical training at Kyoto University Hospital. His research focuses on the renal pathology of glomerulonephritis and the molecular mechanisms underlying the development of diabetic nephropathy. His clinical interests include onconephrology, where he served as the secretariat for the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Kidney Injury during anticancer drug therapy in 2022, under the chairmanship of Dr. Motoko Yanagita (Kyoto University).
