Toshiaki Nakano is Associate Professor in Kidney Care Unit, Kyushu University Hospital, which is the biggest center of nephrology, dialysis and kidney transplantation in Fukuoka, Kyushu.
He completed his medical training at Kyushu University Hospital before travelling to Boston to work as a Research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University.
His research focuses on the cardiovascular diseases in chronic kidney disease (CKD), treatment of peritonieal dialysis and the mechanism of nephrotic syndrome. He also organized some cohort studies of patients with CKD, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
