Dr. Toshihide Naganuma, Lecturer in the Department of Urology at Osaka Metropolitan University Graduate School of Medicine, also works in the Department of Artificial Kidney at Osaka Metropolitan University Hospital in Osaka, Japan. He is engaged in the education and guidance of medical students in addition to performing surgery and clinically treating patients undergoing blood purification, while pursuing his research in his field of specialization.
His educational responsibilities include giving lectures on blood purification therapies and transplantation immunology as well as teaching practical surgical skills to as many as 100 undergraduate and graduate students every year. He also instructs doctoral candidates.
