Tsutomu Inoue, MD, PhD, is a nephrologist and internist. Currently, I serve as a professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Saitama Medical University. I also hold positions as an assistant to the director of Saitama Medical University Hospital, director of the Renal Center, deputy vice-director of nephrology, and chief of research. I earned my doctoral degree from Saitama Medical University. I have studied at Niigata University in Japan and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, USA. My clinical expertise lies in treating nephritis and nephrotic syndrome. My research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms underlying the progression of chronic kidney disease (primarily fibrosis), developing therapeutic agents, and advancing non-invasive chronic kidney disease assessment methods using functional MRI imaging and analysis techniques for application in practical settings.
