After graduating from Niigata University in 1994, I joined the Second Department of Internal Medicine at Shinshu University School of Medicine and began my clinical training. In 1996, I began specialist training in nephrology. From 1997 to 2001, I conducted basic research at Department of Metabolic Regulation, Shinshu University Graduate School. After obtaining medical doctorate in 2001, I furthered my training at Shinshu University Hospital, and became a Clinical Professor of Department of Nephrology in 2014 and Director of the Blood Purification Therapy Department in 2018.
